On our second visit to Swiss we decided to do an offbeat place, Leukerbad. This is a very cozy place which can be reached from Leuk station by bus.
Location: The location of this hotel is a good 10 min walk from the bus station. The walk however is through small cobbled lanes which is fun but not so much fun with bags!!! Phew.
Food: The breakfast spread was awesome and the lounge also served some good wine. The hotel breakfast is just adequate for the price.
Staff: The staff was very friendly.
Amenities: The best part of the hotel is the spa and pools. It is directly connected to the outdoor spa pool via underground tunnel. The smaller pool in the hotel is free for guests but for the main thermal pool the hotel guests are given 50% discount.
Rooms: On entering our room we were pretty disappointed. The room was very small and not well maintained for the price we paid.
Experience: Positive.
