Sentosa is a fun filled island getaway just 20 minutes from mainland Singapore. There are 3 ways by which you can get to the island.

1. Sentosa express train: This is a monorail train that runs from the mainland Singapore to the island. The nearest MRT station is Harbourfront station( North east line & Circle line). Once you reach there take the escalator up to the 3rd level of VivoCity mall, Lobby L and follow signs to Sentosa station. You can buy tickets there and board the train at the vivocity station to reach the island in about . This train has 4 stops – Vivocity station – Resorts world – Imbiah – Beach.

The resorts world station – Universal studios, S.E.A aquarium and resorts world attractions like waterpark, maritime museum.

Imbiah station – Merlion, Tiger sky tower and Cable car

Beach station – Beach tram ,Wings of time show, Luge, iFly Singapore, Palawan beach, Tanjong beach, Siloso beach, Mega adventures

2. Road: You can take a taxi to the island.

3. Singapore Cable car: The Singapore Cable Car has two lines – Mount Faber Line that runs between Mainland Singapore and Sentosa Island. This is approx. 30 min.Sentosa Line that runs within Sentosa Island is about 20 min. The nearest MRT is Harbourfront MRT station, take Exit B towards HarbourFront Centre. Cross the link bridge (beside KFC on level 2) and follow directions to Singapore Cable Car at HarbourFront Tower. You can take the mount Faber line from here and get down at Sentosa station.

Mount Faber line has 3 stops: Mount Faber – Harbourfront – Sentosa

Sentosa line has 3 stops: Merlion – Imbiah lookout – Siloso point

However the time taken would depend from where you want to reach and at what hour of the day. For example, If you are coming from airport it would be easier and faster to take a taxi to Sentosa rather than train or cable car. If you are travelling from city during peak hours you can take the train. For more leisurely pace you can choose cable car.
