Location : The hotel is excellently located in the city centre. It is hop skip and jump from the hurtigruten cruise terminal. Its at the end of the pedestrian street of Kongens gate, about 7 min walk to the steps leading to Fjellstua viewpoint . Basically it is a prime location in the city centre.
Rooms : The hotel rooom was in a good shape with clean bathroom. However our room had no view. We visited many Thon hotels and the best part about all of them was the extra small corner for luggage.
Food : They serve cold buffet dinner which had just 1 vegetarian option so not worth for us. The breakfast also didnt have any good vegetarian options so managed with bread and butter. However there are cafes and restaurants just outside the gate. For Indians there is Taj Mahal restaurant just opposite the hotel and food there was excellent.
Staff: The staff is friendly and welcoming. The check in was smooth.
